Commercial Potential (Parcel G)

This single 6-acre parcel (Parcel G) near the center of the village east of Highway 1 is zoned for commercial use, and may be subdivided at a later date.

While the County Plan contemplates visitor-serving commercial uses for this area, future development will require careful assessment and evaluation. A 100-foot buffer from the top of the bank of Tomales Creek is required to protect the stream and there are issues regarding the impact of any potential development on the views from the Catholic Church and other locations.

The planned use of this parcel and its subsequent development will be addressed in a second phase, after completion of the dairy farm and creamery complex and the establishment of the three other farms.
